You will recall that before we had children, we never had a Christmas tree up this early. I'm pretty sure we once put it up on Christmas Eve. But the kids have been bugging us, and they really had a terrific time.
Craig: I love Christmas! And...I love Santa!
Anna: And Santa loves us!
(You have no idea how much, child!) Needless to say, the lower branches of the tree are a little more densely populated than some of the higher branches. Even though some of the rest of the decorations are staying in their boxes until we get picked up around here (that might mean they'll be packed away 'til next year,) the kids insisted that we get out all of the Christmas books and put them around under the tree like we did last year. Only at my house!
