Way back in February at Aunt Andy's house, Anna made this really cool bear all by herself out of polymer clay. I don't have a photo of the finished bear--and she's sleeping now or I'd take one--but it is pretty darn good. When I was a kid, my mom always had her kids at school making structures out of straws, and recently an article in Family Fun magazine reminded me of it. In the article they showed how you could fold a straw in half and cut a slit in it so that you could slide another straws through it. All I did was show Craig how to make that cut and the next thing you know he made an airplane! We do a lot of "stuff" and make a lot of messes around here, but it sure seems like it's worth it.
