Captain Underpants--who could resist reading a book about a superhero that's "able to leap tall buildings without getting a wedgie?"
Anna can now set up her dolls and read to them "for real." Here she is reading a Froggy book. She's been able to read since the fall and just keeps getting better. She has been able to read to her class a few times.

It's so weird having kids who can read. We were at the zoo recently and Craig was reading every sign in the polar bear exhibit. Trouble is, it was 30 degrees outside and the polar bear exhibit winds around and around outside. When we encouraged him to move along he said, "Well, I want to read these signs. Back when you were the only one who could read them, it was kind of boring. But now they are interesting!" Anna and I went to a museum with Derek and Andy and Dominic and learned about the Chinese zodiac and found out that Anna is the year of the Goat. We were looking at bargain books in Borders and one happened to be an astrology book. She flipped through it, found her way to the Chinese Zodiac, pointed to the part about the signs and said, "Now which one am I? The year of the goat?" Andrea and I were amazed!
