Look ma, no training wheels! It was amazing to see the process of watching Craig learn to ride his bike. He'd get noticeably better each time, almost like he'd practiced in his sleep! He was nervous about riding into the road when we practiced near home, so I took him to the park with lots of grass on both sides of the path. Aunt Andy and Anna played on the play structure while we went around the park once, starting and stopping. The second time around, I got him started and he suddenly took off...and you should have seen how thrilled he was with himself! He rode along a huge stretch of sidewalk without stopping! The next day he rode around the whole park, stopping only once, and was beginning to learn how to get himself started. One of the times when I was running around with him he was singing himself a song, "I'm Craig...and I'm ridin' my bike...all by myself!" It was a lot of fun to have Anna and Andy to cheer him on. And when we sent Uncle Derek a picture, he sent us back some of his biking adventures that he'd been having over the weekend. Before the goal was just riding to Scoopy's, now it's riding to Scoopy's without training wheels. And it looks like one of us is going to have to ride our bikes along with him!
