Making cents

Sometimes the kids make perfect sense, like when Anna was having a conversation with me about how she and I were smaller than Craig and Dad. She told me, "I don't mean you're a kid, Mom. I mean you're smaller than Dad," which I thought was a pretty good distinction for a 2 1/2 year-old to make. And Craig just pops out with observations, almost scientific stuff, that amazes me all the time. However, sometimes they don't make much sense:

Anna: Craiggy, Craiggy, I got you a car from the store 'cause you got your shots today!
Craig: Thanks, Anna! How did you know I got my shots?
Anna: 'Cause it's raining outside!

and

Craig: Dad, if you give me a dollar, I'll give you a ticket to see the collection of ornaments that I made.
Pete (digging around in his pocket): Umm..how about if I give you 6 cents?
Craig: OK! (pause while they look at the exhibit of ornaments that Craig has indeed created of ornaments that he has made himself.) You can buy one of my ornaments, too, if you like it!
Pete: How about this one? How much are you charging?
Craig: How about it's free!!!!!
