The kids are playing together! Of course they look all angelic and innocent NOW...they were elbowing each other to get out of "my space," not long before I snapped this shot. The dinosaur book open on the floor is pretty much a household feature now. I'm pretty sure if we ever go to sell the place we'll have people negotiating, "We'll take it as long as you throw in the fridge and the dinosaur book." Anna decided yesterday she wanted to pee on the potty...then she didn't want to...then she did...so finally she started peeing on the floor (yikes!) so I lifted her onto the potty. She was thrilled. I asked her if she wanted to tell Craig about it and this is the conversation that followed:
Anna: "Craiggy, I pee in potty!"
Craig: "Yay, Anna! You must be a big girl! You must want to wear underwear now,"--and he hugged her!
Also, when they are feeling chummy she calls him "Craiggy-craiggy-ding-dong," (she stole it from my "Craig-a-laig-a-ding-dong,") and he calls her "Sweetie Pie." Don't get me wrong, they fight plenty, but it is pretty cute when they are being nice.
A well-worn topic around our house is "which dinosaurs are meat eaters and which are plant eaters?" We pretend to be meat- and plant- eating dinosaurs (as I may have mentioned before.) The other day Craig told me, "All this talk about meat-eating reminds me--I'm really hungry for a snack."
