Painting lemons, snow, shaving cream, and teeth

It has been pretty cold around here lately, which keeps us inside most of the time. So we've been doing a LOT of painting. And I mean a lot. Photos from 3 days worth are below. Unfortunately, being indoors a lot means exercising indoors a lot. I was doing an aerobics tape with a particularly perky instructor, and Craig was with me for part of it because he didn't nap. He joined right in, quickly thinking to use to big blocks as the weights required in part of the workout. But he wasn't too keen on the instructor. "Why does she keep saying the word 'beautiful,' mom? Do you like this lady, mom? I like the other lady much better!" By whom he meant the lady who was silently doing her exercises. And Anna is recently obsessed with the moon. Well, she has been intermittently obsessed with it in the past, but we are reaching new levels. She asked to go outside and see a few nights ago and I told her, "No, it's too cold to go outside, and besides, the moon is probably behind the clouds. It's hiding." All evening, all we heard was, "It too cold see moon. Moony hiding behind clouds. Why moony hiding, daddy?" {pause for a bite of food} "Moon hiding. Why is too cold outside? Why moony behind clouds?" {pause briefly as if actually anticipating an answer} "Too cold outside see moon..." Go ahead and ask her about the moon--I double dog dare ya. But you better be ready to show it to her, or suffer the consequences!
